『ライヴ・アット・マクシズ・カンサス・シティ (LIVE AT MAX'S KANSAS CITY)』by ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンド (THE VELVET UNDERGROUND)
本作と彼等の第4作『ローデッド (Loaded)』 [1970年発表] が、はじめてぼくが聴いたヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンド (The Velvet Underground) の作品である。廉価のアナログ盤として、他の幾つかのアーティスト達の幾つかの作品群とあわせて、再発もしくは本邦初登場作品として販売されたのだ。
序でに綴っておくと、彼等の作品群のなかで最も好きなのは第2作『ホワイト・ライト / ホワイト・ヒート (White Light / White Heat) 』 [1968年発表] である。本作にはあまり良い印象をもってはいない。

『泥棒 (Dorobo : Theif)』 by ウーア (UA)
掌にしたCDジャケットにあるのは、どうみても水木しげる (Shigeru Mizuki) が描く妖怪画 (Yokai Drawing) である。そのコスプレや3次元実体化と謂うよりも、この実像をみて彼がその作品を描いた、とでもおもいたくなる様な迫真性と真実性がある。
それが、作品世界を視覚化する為に、それに相応しい光景の下、それに相応しい仮装をしたモデルを設えてのモノならばまだしも、そこに佇むのは、作品を制作した歌手、本人なのだから困っちまう。

ここにふたりのアーティストがいる。
ひとりに関しては、彼の名前も彼の音楽も、その信奉者やその継承者の演奏を通じてなんども体験しているが、彼そのもの、彼の音楽そのものは、ぼくは解ってはいない。
もうひとりに関しては、彼の名前も彼の音楽もその殆どは、リアルタイムで体験している。でも、だからと謂って、それを正しい意味で評価し理解しているかと謂うと、余りにも心許ない。
そしてこの2者をどう結び付けて評価し理解すれば良いのか、それが最も解らない。

Kumiko was the heroine for the comic "750 Rider
She was the second grade student of Ryudo Gakuen High School. She was one of the classmates of Hikaru Hayakawa, the main character for the comic, who had ridden Honda Dream CBS750FOUR. Her nickname was The Class President, because she was in good standing.

Minami Asakura, the leotard
Minami Asakura was the heroine for the comic "Touch
" 1981 - 1986 by Mitsuru Adachi for the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday.
She was the Uesugi twin (Tatsuya Uesugi and Kazuya Uesugi) s' neighbor and childhood friend. There was the eternal triangle between them. But, by sudden death of Kazuya Uesugi, the story about the two left behind had started.

『フロッグス、スプラウツ、クロッグス・アンド・クラウツ (FROGS, SPROUTS, CLOGS AND KRAUTS)』 by ルーモア (RUMOUR)
イアン・デューリー (Ian Dury) にはザ・ブロックヘッズ (The Blockheads) がいた様に、エエルヴィス・コステロ (Elvis Costello) にはジ・アトラクションズ (The Attractions) がいた様に、グレアム・パーカー (Graham Parker) にはザ・ルーモア (The Rumour) がいた。
ここまでは間違ってはいない。
当時、個性的な男性ロック・ヴォーカリストの背後には、彼と対等、もしくはそれ以上に個性の強い専属バック・バンドが配属されていたのである。そのヴォーカリスト達の、アルバムにもライヴにも常に、彼等が帯同していたのだ。

パンタ・アンド・ハル (Panta And Hal) [1977〜1981年活動] の時代は単純に格好いいな、そう思っていた。しかし、そう思いながらもその時代、その作品を購入する事はなかった。
パンタ (Panta) の作品をリアル・タイムで入手したのは実は、本作が初めてなのである。
